Plum Pox disease in Poland: the past and current situation

Malinowski T.

A study for the characterization of Plum pox virus (PPV) was carried out during 1999-2001 in Poland. Serological characterization was done with strain-specific monoclonal antibodies. The majority of the tested isolates were identified as PPV-D, and only a few as PPV-M strain. Additional test results of RT-PCR-RFLP confirmed the strains identified by serology.
