La culture du grenadier (Punica granatum L.) et du figuier (Ficus carica L.) en Tunisie

Mars M.

Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) and fig (Ficus carica L.) culture in Tunisia is very ancient and traditional. It is characterized by a large varietal diversity being threatened by extinction. Establishment of a successful modern culture depends on varietal selection and improvement, the resolution of some problems (pomegranate fruit cracking, fig caprification, fruit handling and conservation, etc.) and the definition of appropriated marketing standardization.
