Quelques espèces fruitières d'intérêt secondaire cultivées au Maroc

Walali Loudyi D.

Although subtropical fruit trees of secondary importance have been cultivated in Morocco for decades, their development still remains limited. Initially, these fruit species were planted in back-yards and small gardens and at the moment fruit growers are showing increasing interest in developing these fruits. Newly established orchards, intensively conducted with micro-irrigation systems are common these last few years. Adaptation trials and research work on the technical practices are therefore needed to respond to practical questions raised by farmers. The enclosed list of these fruit species and their state of development, while not exhaustive, allows to have some idea on the cultural practices and their future prospects.
