The author explains the production, consumption and distribution of proteinseeds, as well as the potential of proteinseed consumption. He also explains the tendencies of production in the 80s and the influence of the CAP reform. He describes the evolution of proteinseed imports, its origin and its end. Finally, he explains how the CAP could be oriented for the proteinseeds and the future role of these products, which are deficient, in the European Union.
