The present contribution concerns the state of water resources in Tunisia, their management and the necessary services for an efficient water use. The physical major constraints are specified, for better irrigation practices in the field, water management modes, in particular with regards to water users associations. Finally, some recommendations are introduced to promote efficient management in collective and on farm hydraulic networks, both at the institutional and technical levels.
