En zone méditerranéenne, comme ailleurs dans le monde, l’agriculture fait l’objet de mutations importantes et rapides. Entre mondialisation et localisation des flux, les activités agricoles et les territoires sont au coeur de ces jeux de force entre le local et le global. Nous nous intéresserons ici aux modèles de développement, à travers les formes d’interaction entre Filière/systèmes d’élevage et territoire. A partir de l’analyse de l’évolution des activités laitières et fromagère dans un territoire du Sud Est de la France, nous montrerons que les formes de développement évoluent dans le temps, notamment en lien avec l’évolution de la consommation, et qu’à l’échelle d’un territoire il y a une diversité de modèles en interaction qui contribue à la constitution d’une valeur économique, sociale, environnementale.

Farming activities are deeply changing in the mediteranean as worldwide. Between mondialisation and relocalization of fluxes, farming activities and territories are at the core of play of forces between local and global. We will here pay attention on the developing models across the analysis of the ways that food chains/farming systems and local territories are inter acting . We hypothesis that in both models (globalization/ relocalization) the creation of the value of the products don’t lay on the same characteristics. From examples concerning small ruminants in french mediteranean area we will show that the models are evoluting along time, specially relatively consumption dynamics. At territory level there is a diversity of interacting farming models sometime on a synergetic way, sometime under rivalry. As a discussion, we will emphasis on the fact that diversity of models and know how within territory are building the reputation of products, and are promoting a diversity of developement pathways that are contributing to the constitution of economic, social and environmental value of the whole at territory level.
