Aspetti climatici e vegetazionali della lama S. Giorgio

Results and surveys have demonstrated the presence of wild vegetation clumps, mainly along the wetland banks, almost undisturbed by man, while the anthropogenic action is clearly predominant on the wetland bottom. Moreover, the wild vegetation displays interesting qualitative and quantitative variation along the wetland, above all southwards, where cultivated lands are intermingled with wide bush and woodland areas (although deciduous and abandoned). Therefore, biological diversity is greatly increased while, the typical 'poverty' of cultivated areas is balanced to some extent.
