Etude de populations d'amandier pour la sélection de porte-greffes

Mulas M., Delrio G., D'Hallewin G., Grasselly C.

This programme concerns the selection of new rootstocks from the seedling populations of bitter almond currently grown in Sardinia. The first aim was to find suitable plants from which to obtain the progeny for the subsequent programme of selection. The characteristics of 16 selected plants are thus described. A preliminary test to artificially infesting of bitter almond, myrobalan, peach seedlings and GF 677 young rootstocks with Capnodis tenebrionis L. larvae is also reported. The bitter almond seedlings seem the most resistant to insect penetration.
