The instruction cases presented at the workshop 'Forest fires in Mediterranean region' fully demonstrated the involvement of the various countries in studying the special features of the forest fire phenomenon and the connection between human behaviour and all the natural and artificial agents that generally account for the ignition, spread and intensity of fires.
