While signing the GATT agreements, Tunisia entered a process of insertion in the world economy. It must face this new context and mobilise its productive sectors in order to benefit from the opportunities which will be offered. This text examines the foreseeable impact of the agreements of GATT on the Tunisian agricultural sector. It treats initially, the implementation of the Programme of adjustment of the agricultural sector (PASA.), then the offer of Tunisia with the GATT and, finally the foreseeable impact of the commitments entered by Tunisia within the framework of the GATT on the agricultural sector.
