Convention and promotion of water saving policies and guidelines

The annual precipitation as a total in Greece is adequate. Water imbalance is often observed, due to temporal and spatial variations, especially in summer months when there is an increased demand for water. Many water saving aspects for increasing the quantity and improving the quality of limited water resources are described. Coordinated actions to promote water resources management and an integrated and effective planning are given.
