Une association pour une agriculture de conservation sur les hautes plaines orientales semi-arides d'Algérie

Bouzerzour H., Mahnane S.

The semiarid eastern highlands of Algeria have been a niche for traditional cereal production for a long time. Mechanisation of techniques have allowed intensive production and soil extraction. Currently, conventional production techniques applied to cereal growing in this region seem to have reached their limit. They are a source of water and wind erosion, organic matter destruction, soil structure deterioration and yield reduction. Producers and researchers have come together to create an association whose main goal is to investigate and test new soil and environmentally friendly agricultural technologies. This report describes this association and the objectives of its members.
