First experience on adult bluefin tuna (BFT), Thunnus thynnus: Transportation from rearing cages to inland facilities

For the first time, Bluefin Tuna weighing 40 kg has been conveyed from rearing cages at sea to facilities on land, achieving a survival rate of up to 6 days. This article describes the methodology used for the capture, conveyance and stabling of tuna, noting the difficulties observed and the potential application of results.
