The current paper presents the evolution of the Greek 'aquatic-food' production, the international trade of it and the apparent consumption. Emphasis is placed on the aquaculture sector, with regard to the species and volumes produced, and the evolution of the market prices. Finally, the national aquatic-food market chain is briefly described, elaborating on the 'primary-level' trading infrastructure facilities.
