Determining production and export potential of pistachio in Turkey

Pistachio production in Turkey has increased in the last 20 years. Increases in both the numbers of trees and yield per tree have both contributed to this increase. Production is expected to expand in the coming years. Turkey's pistachio export has not reached the desired levels despite the fast expansion in world pistachio trade volume. This study was undertaken to predict the potential Turkish pistachio production and export. The SWOT analysis was used to analyse the pistachio sector.
