Land and water management technologies

This paper explains the results and conclusions of the evaluation of land and water management technologies carried out in the MEDRATE project. Three technologies (reduced tillage, water harvesting and supplementary irrigation) are analysed at research, on-farm trial experimentation and farmers' utilisation levels. Present technological problems and alternatives are presented as an introductory background and finally some positive and negative aspects for the integration of these technologies are discussed.
