Trials on varietal adaptability to direct seeding method in two levels of deep water [On-line]

Alionte G., Lorga D., Alionte E.

Four rice varieties Chimogi, Cristal, Oltenita and Speranta, all Japonica, nonglutinous, were used for green house experiment to study the varietal adaptability, to direct seeding method in two levels deep water trial. Significant difference in the number of panicles/mp, number of spikelets/panicle, 1000-grain weight and yield were observed among the varieties and also between treatments. Oltenita variety at 5/5 cm deep water levels was found to give the best results.
